    Hi,

After looking again at my G2, I notice that the fuse is in the NEUTRAL line rather than the LIVE.

I know on the continent there is mixed polarity of PHASE and NEUTRAL, but here in the UK the fuse is supposed to go in line with the LIVE.

Do the build instructions need modifying to include UK wiring?

    Cheers,

    Jim

    Re: G2 heater voltage

    Sorted!

After finding massive inconsistencies with the resistors I got (0.47Ohm measured 1.1, and 1Ohm measured 1.7Ohm) I wired them in parallel and I've now got a perfect 6.3V.

The amp now sounds absolutely wonderful (going through a home-made pine cab with an eminence red fang in it).

I'll post some pics and clips hopefully when i get time.

    Thanks for all your help,

    Jim

    Re: G2 heater voltage

Thanks Martin, I'll get hold of some 0.5Ohm Resistors for neatness.

Could you explain the maths behind this because when I tried doing the calculations I was getting a figure of 2Ohms!?

    Many thanks,

    Jim

    Hi,

I'm building the G2 kit and all my voltages are a bit high (in the UK so supply voltage is high).

I'm getting about 7.2V on the heater supply which concerns me the most. I take it this is way too high to use, so am looking as for how to drop the voltage down to the recommended 6.3V using resistors and how to wire them.

    Thanks,

    Jim
