I just bought a new guitar with humbuckers (used to play a strato through m15mk1) and at least the clean channel sounds quite dark.
I haven't done any thorough testing but what would be the guidelines
for modding the amp for more highs?
More highs for m15mk1

Re: More highs for m15mk1
What parts should I change for less bass/more highs?

Re: More highs for m15mk1
If you have the Tone Pot totally open, no treblecut occour. That means, its not possible to increase the highs. My M15 have/has? enough highs with an Les Paul and a Strat. Check your Clean Channel for faults.

Another Simulation. Seems to be ok.
Maybe your Guitar has bad pickups or something?

Re: More highs for m15mk1
You can't add more treble, but you can always remove more bass. Try a "bright" cap on the volume control. Somewhere between 100-500p is a good place to start.
Otherwise, try a brighter speaker. The speaker accounts for a very big part of the sound of the amp.

Re: More highs for m15mk1
I just played a while with my new guitar and m15mk1 and it actually sounded very good - it just takes a bit time to get used to the sound of humbuckers (been playing fenders over 25 years...).
The speaker is an Eminence Texas Heat (in a diy cabinet).
Btw how do you attach a picture here - I'd like to show the picture of my guitar in question... -

You must click on "Erweiterte Optionen" and then auf "Durchsuchen" to search your picture.
