Hat jemand versucht den Mr. Eddie zu bauen?

    Vor längerer Zeit war das hier mal Thema. Gibt einen Schaltplan bei http://www.anubis.com unter DIY.

    Bei genauerer Betrachtung sieht der Schalplan komisch aus. R11 620 Ohm hat nur ein Mal kontakt zur Platine, macht keinen Sinn.
    Wollte einen einfacheren Plan für eine einseitige Platine machen, bin jetzt aber schon zu verwirrt. Die Verdrahtung des Schalters kam mir auch komisch vor.


    Wär ja klasse, wenns jemand schon gebaut hätte....

    Da scheint der R11 angeschlossen zu sein.

    Ähm.

    Was soll das P3 2k Poti bringen?
    Ist doch so sinnlos, muss doch eine verbundung fehlen??

    Das ist der Brown=Gain Regler.

    Jo, stimmt. Da ist tatsächlich was faul. ;)

    Also, diesen Schaltplan hat Anubics anhand der Bilder der Platine, die Reggie mal gemacht hat, erstellt.
    Da drauf sieht man auch schlecht wo der zweite Pin des Potis angeschlossen ist.

    Aber, da es sich hier um den Gain Regler handelt, müsste das Poti logischer, entweder über ein Elko, oder direkt mit Masse verbunden sein.
    Versuchs mal. :)

    Q: When I turn the "Brown" control down, the decay gets a little scratchy. Why is this?
    A: The Brown knob does only one thing - as you roll it on (from left to right), it increases the amount of current going from one of the transistors to Ground. There is an optimal setting for this, which occurs near the top end of the control sweep. Depending on signal strength from your guitar, other settings for the Brown knob may result in a change in the decay.


    Name: Gain Pot Mod
    Difficulty: Easy
    Goal: To increase the range of gain available using the Brown control
    * Note - this mod is for PCB versions of Mr. Ed only.
    Directions:
    Remove the back (lid) of the pedal, exposing the internal components.
    Looking straight down at the back of the exposed pedal, you will see two wires connected to the Brown control. Remove both wires and solder them directly together.
    Unscrew and remove the Brown control pot, and replace it with a 250K Linear Taper pot. This is your new Brown control.
    Remove the black wire from the switch, and connect it directly to the center (#2) lug on the Brown control.
    Using 24 Gauge wire, connect the left-most (#1) lug on the Brown control directly to the switch, using the same post you removed the black wire from.
    Connect a 10pF capacitor across the #1 and #2 (left and center) lugs on the Brown control pot, one lead going to each.
    Rock and Roll.

    Ich glaube jetzt, dass bei Reggies Pedal Fehler(mehrere) auf der Platine wahren.Das Pedal konnte so gar nicht funktionieren.Auf der Platine brechen Leiterbahnen einfach ab.

    Vermutung:Eine Verbindung des Brown Potis zur Masse hat gefehlt.

    Ich muss Euch leider enttäuschen:

    Der Mr. Ed funktioniert!

    Der Sound ist ganz anders als andere Verzerrer.

    Was stimmt, das das Ding extrem auf Anschlag, Pickups und den Volumen Regler reagiert.Van Halen in a Box?
    Ein wenig.Klingt manchmal etwas krank.Wie ein kleiner Verstärker, der voll aufgedreht ist, die Lautsprecher fast platzen......
    Klingts nach Röhre?Irgendwie eher Fuzz,Transistor.Wie die Soundbeispiele von Toadworks?Denke schon.

    Am Schaltplan fehlt die Masseverbindung vom Gainregler.
    Habe wieder BC550C genommen(anstatt NTE199).

    Müsste irgendwann mal ein paar Clips aufnehmen:Thunderchief,Perplexed,Mr. Ed.

    Lege jetzt den Lötkolben erst mal in die Ecke, 2 Pedale in 2 Tagen reicht! :D
