Hi to all.
Is it possible to half the power by adding a switch that allow penthode/triode mode?
In some cases 15W are too loud...

Hey.
You can use the g2 Mod from Rockopa58. This mod increases the volume. You can also solder a pot in front of the 1k screen grid resisors (The pot must have 2W or more.)

In addition to kramusha, the amp would sound much bluesier, dirtier within triodemode.
Perhaps your ears like it, you´ll have to try it!

Thanks guys..
I've checked the schematic, but I don't know where I can find the "BUZ 90"... -

The 91 can also be used.
Or: This Pot at Conrad.de Nr:444855 - 62

Re: Half power for a M15Mk1
Hi,
I did the Triode/Pentode-Switch fpor the M15, it definitly changes the sound, since it's an easy mod, I'd say, you've got to hear for yourself. The power reduction is only audible when you turn it up quite a bit, so no chance to get it to apartment level using triode mode (the g2-control on the other hand works perfectly there).
Anyway, if you want to give the triode-pentode switch a try, you need to add a switch to disconnect the connection from the screen grid resistors to the OT and instead connect them to the anodes of the respective power-tube (in my schematic, it's resistors R30/R31).
As I said, since it's done with just a small toggle switch and a couple of wires, you can easily try it out.
Happy soldering,
Jan
