Hi!
I'm going to buy the A15Mk1Deluxe kit but i have some questions about the footswitch. Does a footswitch work with the output footswitch in the back pannel?
What do i need? Just a footswitch 1PDT that i will put in a box? Or i need relays to buy too more of the kit?

Re: Footswitch A15Mk1
Hi,
I think Martin is still working on it, see this thread:

Re: Footswitch A15Mk1
Ok. So i shouldn't buy the kit now and wait for 2weeks a new version which will include relays for a footswitch?
-
Re: Footswitch A15Mk1
I think you can buy the kit and order the footswitch when it is available.
-
Re: Footswitch A15Mk1
Indeed my question is: what components do i need to put inside the footswitch? Do i need only a 1PDT? Or others components? I just want a footswitch in order to change the canal (canal clean/overdrive). I want to order the A15Mk1 and the footswitch in the same time.
Sorry for my english, i'm french! ;D

Re: Footswitch A15Mk1
Just to switch between clean and overdriven sound ju just need a monojack with a single DPDT-Relais.
If you like to have a 3 channel footswitch (clean, overdrive, overdrive with boost) let me know

I´ve built one myself and still have the schematics. -
Re: Footswitch A15Mk1
Hi!
Yes I would like to see your schematics please. I would like to have a 3 chanels footswitch.
I'm going to build an another A15 (cool!) so i will order soon.
Thanks! -
Re: Footswitch A15Mk1
Hi mathieu2703
Je ne parle france! Une petit english! ;D
Your english is very well.
Bierschinken designed one Footswitch, like this way: http://forum.musikding.de/yabbse/index.p…g68819#msg68819
And I designed this footswitch with bistabil Relais:
http://forum.musikding.de/yabbse/index.p…g47484#msg47484
If you have any questions, you can send me a mail (private Mitteilung)
Salut, Hatti

Re: Footswitch A15Mk1
Danke schön für deine Antworte. Ich spreche Deutch nitch sehr gute. ;D
Maybe I would make a three channels footswitch with only two switches (one for clean/high gain and the other fo high gain+/++), two relays from musikding and a stereo jack. Is it possible?
I don't know if I need momentary footswitches or normal footswitches. Should I wire the relays in parallel with amp switches? Does only amp switches work if no footswitch is connected, and only footswitch works if the footswitch is connected?
I writed my first idea but I'm not sure about it.

Hello Everybody !
A long time ago, i followed this schematic to do the power supply 12Vdc for the Finder Relays 12V that I putted in my A15 amplifier: http://forum.musikding.de/cpg/displayima…rch&cat=0&pos=4
It worked until a short time ago (sorry for my bad english !
)So, the power supply is plugged in parallel with the circuit that generates the -19Vdc bias voltage of the power stage. And it doesn't work anymore. I read somewhere on this forum that I could'nt do that, because it was forbidden. But on my software simulation, it works.
If I can't generate a -19Vdc bias voltage and a +12Vdc power supply for the relays on the same transformer ( 21Vac I think), how could I do? I have only a 6.3Vac voltage except 21Vac...
Thanks a lot.
EDIT : I think I have a solution, but I need to go to a shop. I need to buy a 7912, negative regulator voltage, and put it after the bias pot. Is it not bad to put a very big capacitive load on the pot (2200µf), or it will be better for noise filtering of the bias point?
thanks, -
Hi,
at first your link above doesn't work.
To get bias and relay supply from a single transformer winding you have to use a "trick" (C1 and D2 in my picture).

Oh great! Thanks a lot!
Could you say me what is BR1?
And could you electrically explain me why the additional components D2 and C1 are requested?
-
Hi,
BR1 is a simple Bridge Rectifier (e.g. 40 V /0.5...1 A)
The function of the additional components isn't easy to explain (for me).
It's a kind of voltage doubler, which doubles "down" from the positive voltage and so you get a negative voltage at the output with respect to ground...

Ok, thanks. I'm going to try it now!
