a15mk1 power switch light

    Is it normal that the red light in the power switch is always \on as soon as you plug the cord cable into the wall plug?
    I thought it should light as soon as you switch on the power on the amplifier and not as soon as you plug the cord in the outlet on the wall.
    Did I do something wrong? I have a a15mk1 deluxe kit. I have double checked my wirings and all seems ok (i mean equal to the wiring diagram)
    I mean has the power swith a particular "orientation" I hope I did not wire it upside down or something like this...

    Hi Krusty,
    yes, you've wired it the wrong way round, so the light is always on and not switched by the power switch. Please check the layout sheet and wire it exactly as described there (and shown on the pictures in the manual), then it will work fine ;)

    I'm sorry but in my manual there is no closeup picture of the power switch...
    my manual is revision 1.4 can you explain me more..? i.e. some test I can do with a multimiter on the switch to know if I have to turn it upside down...

    You are right!
    That was the problem...I just turned the switch upside down, re do the connection and now it perfectly works...
