Hi there,
I just bought a a15mk1 kit and I'm trying to assemble it.
My question is about earth wire/connection.
I have soldered it from the power plug to the chassis then I tried to measure the resistence between the power cord ground pin and the chassis (as specified in mounting instruction) with a multimiter...
the instruction says "Before assembling the yellow wires please connect the power cord and check with
your multimeter, that it will show 0 Ohm between chassis and earth (I always measure
against earth in the wall outlet to be absolutely sure) and about 100 Ohm between the
star ground lug and earth. Please disconnect the power cord before going on wiring
the power supply!"
Well It was like I have an open circuit...well I saw that my chassis is painted (deluxe kit) so the lug on the chassis was insulated...just removed some paint and now I have 0 ohms beteween power cord ground pin an the chassis..Then I measured the resistance between the ground star but is less than 100 Ohms as written in the instruction...is quite close to 0 ohm too..
Any problem about it? Was it right to remove some paint from the back part of the chassis because the lugs were insulated?
