• I need an tube amp/preamp to drive my 78' Marshall 100w Super Lead in smaller venues, to work before the effects rack, and also make some recordings at my home studio.

My question is simple, can the kit be fitted with a D.I.
out with a volume pot, so it can drive the effects rack, without
the need of being connected to a speaker? If so, how can this be
    done?

  • Re: D.I. Out for G2

    Search the web for "Firezog".

It's very simple to do such a line out. You only need one pot, one resistor and one power resistor. The power resistor should have a power rating of at least twice the output power of the amp.

    Hi,
d95err, you took the word right out of my mouth ;D
just take a 8 Ohm 5-10W resistor and a variable voltage divider, than connect the output of the G2 to the input of your amp and it works. But please be aware, that ths sound will be a bit harsh (too much treble), beacuse there is no speaker in between...
