I am trying to build the The Compressor Dyna - Compressor kit. I have soldered it all together with R8 = 470k and R12 = 1M and R3, R9, R11, C5, C6 C7, C11 all empyty as per the instructions. When the pedal switch is off I get a bypass signal but when the pedal is on I get no signal and the guitar cant be heard. Im new to this and dont know where to start looking for problems. Can anyone please advise me. I have attached pictures of my board and the wiring. Thanks

added note: ive checked all the resistors and capacitors are in the right place. When i check R5 and R6 with a multimeter they read around 0.5M when they should read 1M. R12, R16 and R17 read correctly as 1M. The all came together labelled as 1M and the colour stripes seem the same on all of them

another note: before i noticed the side note that R8 = 470k and R12 = 1M, i left them out and powered on the board. Would this of damaged any components

I only recently learned that measuring built in resistors does not necessarily show the correct values, because other parts influence the measurement... To be sure you have to desolder them, or at least one side. But if the colour codes are ok and they are the same as the other 1Ms there should be no problem here.
But there are more capable users here to assist you with that

Have you already tried to adjust the trim pot? I also built the Dyna Comp and the default setting did not work for me. Now it's perfect.

Yes I have already tried adjusting the trim pot, Doesnt resolve the problem. Any other ideas?

Hi,

You forgot to solder jumper wires for:
R3, R9, R11
It's clearly indicated in the instructions.
