hi!
i just finished building he MKC1 v2 board. It works okay... almost!
When I put treble and volume to the max (say from 9 to 10) I get a (hissing sort of) noise. Only hearable when I dont play. When I play the guitar the noise disappears. Everything else if fine. What could be wrong??

provide a link to the schematic please!
if it's a overdrive, the behavior is normal: all the noise that gets into the input and some noise from the circuit itself is amplified by a large factor... The noise isn't gone when you hit the strings, it's just masked by the much louder signal.
You could put a noise supressor after the distortion, or just live with the noise, like generations of guitar players before did...

Hi! thanks for the reply.
I got rid of the hissing but encountered new problems (more or less)
I made a short video where you can see the remaining problems.
The hissing problem I started this conversation with is gone, but still there are some flaws. The video and the sound will make it clear:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPSD6QT9GZ8
1) When in bypass and when all knobs are on 10 I get an oscillating sound. Strange right?
2) When turned on there's a strange interaction on certain settings of the pots. (bot on normal and in bass boost)
When gain (knob 1) and volume (knob 3) are full and treble (knob 2) is at 10 o'clock it gets a boost or something like that. Almost like the treble is working really hard only in that range (9-12 o'clock).
In the same setting, when the volume goes to full it makes a popping sound.
Any ideas? Or is this normal? -
Hi.
By the long connections not a miracles. cut the wires at your connections. The effect on it are external interference (unit without lid).
it should be something;Dregards uwe
