J5Mk1, first amp, first build, first problem!!

    Hello everybody!!
    First of all, many excuses for my horryble English...i'm from Italy!
    I hope i can explain and tell you all i want with my english-italian-hi-tech-language!!!;D;D

    I've printed all plains, modifications, schema, all the 3 PDF files.

    So, the very first problem.

    file Modification revision 2.4, page 4:
    "connect all four green wires........."

    My output transformer is all painted black, wires too.
    These 4 wires black are the green ones? ???

    If it's similar to the A15MK2, are the wires the ones in the output transformer for the 16Ohm output? If so, these are the 4 wires that come out of that transformer, there were no other wires coming out of it. The other connections have to be soldered to the connectors. They should be green but if the transformer is painted black, they probably look... well... black. :)

    "connect all four long wires..."

    which means the four wires which come out of the output transformer - as skynet3d already wrote...

    BTW: these for wires belong (all together!) to the 16 Ohm output tap.

    Now, the second problem!

    I'm starting to solder resistor and caps, and meanwhile, i take a look
    to the power transformer.
    I've noticed that ALL indication in the pdf are wrong, because number pins
    doesn't match.
    May be there was a mistake with the transformer?
    Again, sorry for my bad english!

    if you've got the new type of PT you should have received an additional document with the new wiring from Musikding, haven't you? Hope this helps:

    lugs 3-7 (old: 2-6) 230V primary (Resistance about 37 Ohm)
    lugs 10-12 old: 8-9) 230V secondary (Resistance about 100 Ohm)
    lugs 13-15 old: 11-12) 20V secondary (Resistance about 10 Ohm)
    lugs 16-18 old: 13-14) 6,3V secondary (Resistance about 0,5 Ohm)
