Hi, I bought a combo chassis for my Madamap M15MK1 but I have trouble installing the speaker because the tubes come too forward and there is not enough room for the speaker. I could get more room by moving the tubes away from the center of the chassis (new holes etc.).
Would that be ok from the amps design point of view?
Change the amps layout (M15MK1)

Hi,
in general the layout of the M15 is not critical as it is no high gain amp. Can you post a drawing how you plan to change the layout? This would make it easier to validate, if your plan is reasonable...

Hi,
I'll try and make some kind of a plan and post the drawing here.regards Tomi

I measured the cabinet again (Fender Deluxe slanted type) 50cm wide, 43cm high and 25cm deep (down at the deepest part) made of 18mm pine. Then I put the amp in and noticed that a 10" speaker would just about fit in. A Jensen C10R 10" which is not very deep. The question is that how much does it effect on the speaker that the power transformer and one tube are quite near the speaker?

Hi,
what do you mean by saying "quite near"? Are they nearly touching? Or what's the free space between PT, the tube (which one?) and speaker? If the chassis is already assembled I suggest to put it in the cabinet and give it a try.

Martin
