To all who know more about these things than me:
If I want to double the power of the A15MK2 by adding 2 6V6's, do I need to replace the power and/or the output trafo or can they cope with the extra current?

you have to replace both. Try a Hammond 1650N Outputtransformer; works very well in an A15.
BTW: I have a 1650N and a coustom-wound Powertransformer for 4x 6V6 in stock
Both used for ca. 20 hours.Regards

Since I'm playing my A15MK2 on a 2X12 cabinet and the cost of replacing both trafo's and adding the extra tubes, i think i will add an extra A15 (or maybe even a M15) and go stereo -
Hi Edwin,
a second A15, you´re in the lap of luxury;D;D But a better idea then updrading an A15 to 30W (I did). The 30W model has a bit more headroom for clean sounds, but only a bit.

I´d just invest in louder speakers, 2x12 for example.
