Inbuilt preamp for G2

Any tips on how to build a preamp/distortion/fuzz inside G2 aluminium box? Anyway to get suitable voltage from power supply?

I used an L-pad attenuator between the output transformer and the speaker, allowed me to overdrive the amp without being too loud.
