Below is the PI to the Madamp A15MK2 that was just finished:
[Blockierte Grafik: http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c109/prof2915/LTP.jpg]
(Not seen, there´s also a 56k NFB resistor wired to the 4 ohm output at the OT)
This PI is obviously from a "Brownface" Fender 6G3 Deluxe and I´ve heard totally contradictionary statements beeing made about it...
Someone claims that this PI is designed to clip early on and that I would get a much better headroom if using standard "Marshall values": 470R/10k/4,7k.
Someone else says that I will lose "bite and dynamics" if increasing R44 from 1,5k to 4,7k as more of the NFB will go into the PI.
Regardless the NFB - that can be adjusted according to the design of the LTP - would the "Marshall values" (and especially lowering R42 from 680R to 470R) give me more headroom in the PI?
Would MAD maybe care to share some thoughts on this?
